Marissa Sieck

Marissa Sieck is an avid canoeist, backpacking guide, outdoor educator, youth worker and social justice advocate based in the Pueblo Lands near Albuquerque. In 2013, she was part of the Paddle Across Canada Tour, a 120-day expedition across Canada starting in Rocky Mountain House, Alberta and ending in Montreal, Quebec. In 2017, she and five other women from Ogichi Daa Kwe spent 62 days paddling to the Arctic Ocean. When she doesn’t have a pack on her back or a paddle in her hand, she tends to the land, makes herbal medicine and is apprenticing to be a hide tanner.
